A knowledge-retrieval interface built to reduce friction for support teams working across disconnected documentation sources.

The problem

Support staff had to search three different knowledge bases — a wiki, a shared drive, and a CRM — to answer common questions. Answers were inconsistent, stale, or buried.

What was built

A compact search interface that:

  • indexes across the three sources
  • returns ranked excerpts with source attribution
  • caches results to minimise repeated lookups

Key takeaway

Making the shape simple — clear sources, obvious ownership, and one dependable way to ask a question — built more trust than a flashier interface would have.
